TEDxMonterey will begin livestreaming at 10:00am Pacific time on Saturday, April 13, 2013.
TEDxMonterey is Multilingual (mute the LiveStream audio before launching a language channel)
|1||10:00am – 11:45am||German||Chinese||French||Korean|
|2||1:00pm – 2:30pm||-||Spanish||French||Chinese|
|3||3:00pm – 4:30pm||Spanish||Japanese||-||Chinese|
All Livestream presentations from the event will be in English. The sessions will be simultaneously interpreted into four additional languages by second-year conference interpretation students from the Monterey Institute of International Studies. Note: The “interpretation” you will hear is primarily live interpretation, and sometimes is a voiceover reading based on subtitles or of translations produced by volunteers (for TED videos and other audio elements). There are too many volunteer translators to credit each by name but their names can be found online.
To experience TEDxMonterey in languages other than English:
- Review the interpreting schedule
- Mute the audio on the Livestream
- Click “Play” in the appropriate channel to launch a popup player (you must enable popups in your browser)
- Adjust your volume
- When you’re done listening, the interpreters would love your feedback by taking this quick survey!
